More New Shoes?!?

At RRRC, we are always eager to try out the latest updated shoes when we get them in. This week we received the updated Brooks Glycerin and Cascadia. We also add a new addition to our racing flat selection: the Brooks Green Silence.

Kayla's showing off the new Glycerin 8. The Glycerin 8 has Brooks latest innovation, and personally probably one of the most interesting advancements, the Brooks DNA. Brooks has created a cushioning system that adapts to fit any type of runner, it instantly changes to cater each runner's unique biomechanics, weight, and pace. Brooks DNA, made from a highly viscous non-Newtonian liquid, adapts to the force applied to it providing a customized cushion, giving it a 30% better cushion than standard gel or EVA materials. It also gives twice as much energy return with maximum force applied, meaning that the higher the impact, the less physical
fatigue and higher aid in performance.

Bethaney's trying out the updated Cascadia 5. The changes to the Cascadia are minor due to the success with the previous edition. Brooks changed the upper to make it more breathable and drain water more. The midfoot wrap has been redone to help stabilize the foot and keep it in place in the shoe.

Sean's wearing his new favorite shoe: the Brooks Green Silence. The Green Silence is a true eco-friendly shoe. Its made of 75% post-consumer materials and Brooks biodegradable BioMogo midsole. It comes in at 6.9 oz, one of the lighter racing flats we carry. With a thicker midsole than some racing flats and an outsole made of high-abrasion rubber, the Green Silence is a perfect flat for marathons as well as short races. The fit of the upper makes the shoe feel as it is part of the foot. With asymmetrical lacing, a wrap-over tongue that won't slide down, few seams making less potential for rubbing, and multiple eyelet options for top tongue lacing all work together to customize the fit.

Come in today and try on some Brooks shoes!!
